Golf makes its long-awaited return to the fairways on Monday next, a date that Irish golfers have been anticipating for weeks now, rather like a child waiting for Christmas morning.
Courses in this country have been closed since late December of 2020 and coupled with similar Level 5 closures in March and October of last year, it will mean that on Monday next, Irish courses will have been closed for play to their members for a total of 30 weeks since the pandemic began almost 14 months ago.
